Donor Needed

Thank you to everyone who has signed up to pray and fast specifically for Gabe.  As most of you know, prayers are being answered everyday and we thank God for answered prayers.

However, there is something else you can do to help.  Gabe is is need of a bone marrow transplant (click here to read more from Gabe's CaringBridge site) and you can be a part of the process.  Watch the following video, visit bethematch.com and then pray about if this is something God would have you do. 



Also, we are still looking to fill the Praying List's timeslots to have Gabe covered in prayer 24/7.  If you're not signed up already and want to commit to a specific time, email prayer.fast.for.gabe@gmail.com and let us know what time you'll be praying.  Or, if you're signed up, but not for a specific time, please visit the Praying List and consider committing to a specific time; also, email prayer.fast.for.gabe@gmail.com to change or add to your committment.

Thank you to those who have signed up to Pray and Fast for Gabe.  This has given his parents renewed strength.

We've received a few emails with questions about how to particpate and hereby offer the following explanation.

We know that everyone is praying for Gabe but we would like this to be a concentrated effort for Gabe's healing using the words of Jesus, "However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting."   Therefore, we are asking everyone who knows Gabe to consider Praying and/or Fasting during a specific day and time slot to cover him 24/7 until he is healed. 

If you would like to be a part of this effort, send an email to prayer.fast.for.gabe@gmail.com.  In the email, please tell us if you want to sign up for the Praying Page or the Fasting Page (or both).  For the Praying Page, please indicate which day(s) and time(s) you will be praying for Gabe.  For the Fasting Page, please indicate which day(s) and/or time(s) you will be fasting, along with any additional information (ex. Mondays, fasting from coffee).

Also, please check back often, we'll be posting specific prayer requests from the family as we get them.  If you need any additonal information on this effort, email prayer.fast.for.gabe@gmail.com; for updated information on Gabe, visit his CaringBridge site.

Welcome

Thank you for visting the Praying & Fasting for Gabe website.

Matthew 17:14-21 is our prayer for Gabe.

And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, "Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him."

Then Jesus answered and said, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me." And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?"

So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting."

It is our hope that by prayer and fasting that Gabe will be healed.  We are asking for people to sign up to pray and fast until Gabe comes home from St. Jude.
